I painted outside this week, both on my own and with friends. Going back to the same location as last year provides a comparison for changes taking place in my work. The drawing is more specific, there is a wider spectrum of color-value, and I enjoyed the size of a moderately larger canvas. One of my goals in graduate school is to become more consistent in my painting process. Daily oil on paper paintings are done before or after sustained paintings.
