I paint from observation and invention, translating daily experience from the mundane to the transcendent, often in dialogue with historical methods, forms, and interpretations of similar subjects. Objects on tabletops, on window sills, and landscapes painted on site bring slow viewers’ attention to potentially bring solace and insight, from the simple to the complex.
