Laraine Armenti is a visual artist and designer. She has a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD Printmaking, 1980) and an MFA from Boston University (BU Painting, 2013). Awards and residencies include the Beijing Inside Out Art Museum, Massachusetts Cultural Council, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, Vermont Studio Center, and The Artists Valentine.
Along with exhibition of her art, Laraine has taught painting, drawing, and color at Boston University, Danforth Museum School at Framingham State University, Cambridge Center Studio School, Wheaton College Massachusetts. She began her career as an illustrator and graphic designer in high school, was employed by Digital Equipment Corporation for 13 years, and was self-employed for 18 years as a designer of international corporate conference graphics and marketing materials. She lives and works in New England.
