Laraine Armenti is a visual artist whose work is concerned with contemporary issues of oil painting.
BIOGRAPHICAL HIGHLIGHTS
Laraine Armenti received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Etching from Rhode Island School of Design in 1980 and a Master of Fine Arts degree in painting from Boston University in 2013. She has been awarded grants from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, the Artists Valentine, Vermont Studio Center, and was twice a fellow of the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. Her artwork is held by Meditech, Inc., the DeCordova Corporate Loan program, and private collections. In 2007, she transitioned from a career in international meeting design to paint full time.
